Red Hat recently announced the general availability of an exciting new product for managing Kubernetes across your hybrid cloud called ‘Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes’.
Interestingly this product is derived from technology that originated with IBM but is now open source and maintained by Red Hat.
The tool is a single pane of glass to view and manage Kubernetes clusters across your hybrid cloud. It doesn’t just manage OpenShift clusters but also native clusters on major public cloud providers including Amazon, Google, IBM and Microsoft. No need to open multiple browser tabs to manage each of your clusters!
Some of the main features include:
- Provision new clusters, import existing Kubernetes clusters and manage all of your OpenShift upgrades in one interface.
- Deploy and maintain business applications distributed across your clusters using subscription-based automation. You can view the complete picture of your applications and their resource statuses from the topology page.
- Ensure clusters are compliant using the product governance framework to enhance the security for your managed clusters. View and manage the number of security risks and policy violations in your clusters and applications.
